The event contributed to the largest gathering of Google Glass in one place not even in the Czech Republic, but probably even in the whole Europe. Czech Republic is known as the “glass power” with 15 Czech Glass Explorers up to date. Developers once again showed the enthusiasm for this technology and thanks to sufficient number of devices they managed to create several well-done applications in a half-day.

The first place in the competition was occuppied by the team consisting of Jan Zikeš, Radim Vaculík, Eliška Kuzdasová and Lukáš Prokop. They won with their app called Plane spotting. Using this application you can see the location of nearest planes in the air.

The second place belonged to Prague metro created by Alex Studnička. The application informs you about the departure time of the underground from the nearest station.

The third place won the application Gimme a tone made by Vojtěch Sázel, Míša Horáková and Pavel Horal. App is intended to be a practical tool for musicians and singers which plays the selected tone right to your ear.

Other applications created at Hackathon were e.g. related to bitcoin transactions, display of the text to reporter or simple book addition to the database. To see photos from the event go to GDC Prague.
