Mobile QA Tester (automotive)

Be a part of an international QA team where quality is more important than quantity. At this time we have a structure of frontend, backend, and mobile developers who work together on a newly emerging application in an agile fashion following two weeks of the sprint, standups, retrospectives.

As a QA engineer, you will test a new mobile application at each stage of development and identify any deficiencies on all levels. You will have the opportunity to experience all kinds of testing and grow yourself. You will be in close contact with FE and BE developers. Quality is very important and sometimes you will deal with every pixel of the application (you will have enough time for everything).
To all this, you will also use mock data to design, build, and test APIs and mobile applications on a daily basis. We are welcome and support any ideas and tools to speed up and make our testing more efficient and everyone’s life easier. If you have any, we would be happy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Test new emerging native applications for Android and iOS and identify deficiencies. Investigate app quality for finding possible improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and with Analytics to ensure consistent application execution
  • Prepare and execute test cases

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Obligatory skillset:

  • ISTQB Foundation Level is a must (perfect match is ISTQB Mobile Tester Certification)
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with any kind of Test management tool (create Test Plan, Test Cases, Test Milestones)
  • Experiences with working in an AGILE environment
  • Familiar with Rest API (knowledge of API comunication tool)
  • Perfect knowledge of the mobile operation systems like iOS, Android (Guidelines, platform differences)
  • Experience with testing iOS and Android cross platform native mobile applications
  • Log analysis for native mobile applications
  • Familiar with Proxy testing (Charles, Wireshark any kind of tool)
  • Perfect technical knowledge of English
  • You should be a team player and have good communication skills

Nice to have: 

  • Cloud knowledge (queueing, caching, storage)
  • Experience with test automation on Appium based FW
  • Performance monitoring of the Native Mobile applications
