Manage measuring devices quickly and clearly

Mobile Measurement Client is a mobile and web application for managing measurement devices. E.ON employees can use the application directly in the field when installing these devices. Thanks to our solution, employees of one of the Czech Republic’s leading energy and gas suppliers can effectively manage and plan work orders.

Client assignment

E.ON is a leading Czech supplier of electricity and gas. A client representing this multinational company was looking for a way to better organize the work of fitters installing measuring equipment in the field.

The design of the solution fits into E.ON’s long-term efforts to digitize work processes, which will replace a significant amount of paperwork, as well as optimize processes in the assigning and implementation of (not only) assembly orders.

The application also had the task of clearly structuring information about the current warehouse management of devices that installers use at work.

Solution

We proceeded in accordance with the assignment, and developed a complete web and mobile application that facilitates the distribution of work processes, as well as the management of E.ON’s measuring equipment.

With our internal design team, we implemented complete UX/UI applications to match E.ON’s visual identity.

We also designed a structure of work orders to manage orders and their updates.

We added information about used and installed equipment to the work order structure, which the installers record at home and in the warehouse.

We developed the entire mobile application to suit the type of tablet chosen by the customer.

We also built a small web application for the client, which allows them to assign and remove work orders at the discretion of planners and coordinators.

Result

We wrote the web application in the React Native language. The mobile application was implemented on a Samsung Tab Active 2 device supporting Android 8.1. We developed the application in Kotlin using Clean Architecture. Finally, we successfully integrated the application into the existing system, including the mobile backend and identity management.
