In addition to door-to-door deliveries, PPL operates more than 2,000 pickup points – so-called Parcelshops. Sending, delivery, and management of shipments is based on the solution we have developed for PPL.

Parcelshops have been operating for about 3 years with a mobile application from DHL. However, its lifespan was beginning to fade, and it became necessary to start looking for another solution. Ideally as close as possible to the original, so employees would welcome it as an old friend. In addition, with a portal, several upgrades and, of course, built on the most modern of technical solutions.

Web portal

We prepared a new web portal for PPL using the “Fruits” framework, which we developed at eMan with the help of ReactJS technology. Via this portal, it is possible to manage PPL Parcelshops, possible outages, capacity, invoicing, as well as payment terminals in circulation.

Backend

Inventory records, shipments and checkouts, invoices, transaction history, user data… It’s all here. All key data, the basis for the mobile application and the background of the web portal, based on MS-SQL, node.js, and the NestJS application framework.

Cherry on a cake

In addition to the above-mentioned functions of the portal, we added the possibility of accepting payment cards and optimization for devices with a barcode reader to the application.
